Anglesey is an island of natural beauty and history.  Anglesey is located off the northwest coast of Wales. It is known for its beaches and ancient sites.  The island is accessed by two spectacular bridges.  One, the 19th-century Menai Suspension Bridge and second, the Britannia Bridge, rebuilt following the fire in May 1970 that destroyed the rail bridge and converted to take trains and road vehicles.

The island covers an area of approx. 714km².  It has a coastline of approx. 125miles of which all is designated as an area of outstanding natural beauty and has a coastal footpath around the entire coastline.
